I always find false eye lashes are either too thin, or too thick, the fibres aren’t pigmented enough and the clear lash bands are too shiny and glossy so make up doesn’t apply smoothly over the top. Falling into his make up artistry career Sean began his first make up role working for cosmetic giants MAC Cosmetics, whilst also studying Broadcast Journalism at University. Finishing his degree Sean had found his passion in make up and the creative industry, leading him to his next role as Yves Saint Laurent Area Make Up Specialist giving him some incredible opportunities including working at IMATS London and having his work internationally published.
Then approached by cosmetic newcomers Charlotte Tilbury, Sean became one of Charlotte’s Senior Artists travelling around the UK assisting on projects, shoots and opening new boutiques and counters for the brand. Building a reputable name and gaining experience from different brands and locations, Sean knew it was time to be creative and go the industry alone.
At the age of 21 Sean burst onto the make up artistry industry gaining roles with MTV, ITV, Channel 4, London Fashion Week and many more including his own fortnightly beauty column for the regional press. With a lengthy list of celebrity clients Sean is known for creating soft, chic glamorous make up, travelling throughout Europe Sean has worked on some incredible high profile photo shoots, music videos and TV productions giving him vast amounts of knowledge, experience and reputation in an industry he is incredibly passionate about.
Sean always struggled finding the perfect false eye lashes and knew he wanted to create his own lashes to suit different eye shapes and make up looks. Creating SM Lashes Sean instantly knew which designs and eye shapes he wanted to enhance.
Working in the make up industry for over 6 years I know what works and what doesn’t.
